There are another great project, that you should vote for: PortableApps.com. This project provides us with many portable applications, which you can use from an USB-Stick, i.e. OpenOffice.org Portable.

Last week I held a presentation about OpenOffice.org Portable at the Linuxtag 2009 in Berlin (see picture below). There was a track about OpenOffice.org at this leading event of openSource software in Europe. As last year I had to open this track with my presentation. So I had to leave the social event "Linuxnacht" on Thursday not too late ;-)



We got one of the bigger lecture halls for our OOo-Track and there were many people to follow our presentations. Florian spoke about central configuration of OOo in a network. Christoph gave a very exciting talk about our project Renaissance.

Tomorrow the LinuxTag 2009 opens his doors. The LinuxTag is a very important place for Linux and open source software in Europe.
There are a special day with presentation about and around OpenOffice.org on Friday, 26th of June. I'll give a presentation about OpenOffice.org Portable at 10.00 o'clock on Friday morning. I'm looking forward to meet you in Berlin at the LinuxTag on Friday ;-)

In the last weeks Marko and myself worked on a new Plone instance for OOoAuthors.org. The new instance is used now for production. You can find this new Plone 3.3 instance under her URL http://oooauthors.org. Thanks to the OOoAuthors team (inside the Documentation team of OOo) for the feedback.

In the last weeks Marko and I worked on an new Plone instance for OOoAuthors.org, a documentation writing group inside the community of OpenOffice.org. This new instance is based on Plone 3.3. I created it with a buildout. The design of the new site was inside a new Product for Plone.
The content of the English and the German section is now copied to the new instance. We had to change the status of every directory and file, because there is a workflow installed inside the instance.
