I build a test instance with the current Plone version for OOoAuthors. Therefore I used a buildout script and put the instance on a server of the association OpenOffice.org Deutschland e.V.
In the last week I put some content of the original authors page into the test instance. We need to test now, if every thing works in a way we estimate.

I build a test instance for OOoAuthors with Plone 3.1.7 during the last two weeks. I used for this a buildout script. The instance runs on a server of the association OpenOffice.org Deutschland e.V. now.
One of the things, that are missing now, is content. I will put some test content into the new site. So it would be easier to evaluate, if every thing works.
We will see.

I created some test content inside my plone buildout site and worked a little bit more on the layout of the site today. I created a navigation portlet on the left (see the picture below):

Today I worked on the new layout product for the Plone update of OOoAuthors a bit further. I customized the colors and the header of the test-site. Here is an screenshot of the current test-version:

Since I returned from the OOoCon Beijing I worked on a layout product for the current Plone 3. I develop this product because it is planed to update the OOoAuthors-Site to the current Plone version and so all customization of the site will be lost. Therefore it is necessary to make all this changes in the new Plone environment again. The best way to avoid this extra work for upgrades in the future is to develop an add-on layout product, that could be installed easily on Plone: a just one-click-installation.
